Undergraduate Admission: COEP(College of Engineering, Pune) is amongst the most competitive colleges when it comes the admissions. Admissions are usually held in the months of June-July for graduation and under-graduation courses. Admissions to COEP are strictly based on merit only. Undergraduate admissions are currently based on scores in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education.

Direct Second Year Undergraduate Admissions: Admissions to COEP are strictly based on merit only. Undergraduate admissions are currently based on scores in the Diploma Courses.

Postgraduate Admissions: Postgraduate admissions are held on the basis of score obtained in the General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination. The (GATE) is an All-India Examination conducted by the Seven IITs and IISC, Bangalore, on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.
