Kids are the blessings for today and promises for the days to come! The kid's body is the most super sensitive, delicate and susceptible form which can be easily be harmed if not taken care of.
Babies taking cow milk will sometime have allergic reaction as proteins in cow's milk are some of the chemicals that can set off these reaction in some babies. Cow's milk allergy, or cow's milk protein intolerance is often thought the reason why a baby might be unhappy or unwell. About 1 in 50 babies have the problem - most grow out of cow's milk allergy by the age of 4 years and cow's milk allergy in adults is rare.
What can you do?
1. If you think your child may have a cow's milk allergy, check with your doctor to be sure.
2. Removing cow's milk and dairy foods from the diet for a week or more, then trying them again to see if problems come back, is the best way to check - but this should only be done with your doctor's help because dairy foods are very good sources of important nutrients in a child's diet, such as calcium.
3. Babies who are allergic to cow's milk will often also be allergic to other milks (soy, goat, sheep). Switching an unsettled baby to formula made from soy milk or goat's milk may make a difference for some, but not all, babies.
4. There are special formulas available for these babies which your doctor can prescribe. These formulas smell unpleasant to adults, but babies who need them seem to tolerate them quite well.
