Science and technology is having lot of oppourtunities and day by day new innovation are done. When we talk about bio-informatics, it is a wonderful course with lot of career oppourtunities all over the world and can find employment opportunities in biotechnology, biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences, in industries, hospitals and research institutions. This is a field of growth and innovation, where there is lot of scope in research also.
Hi i am a 12th student taken the 1st group with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths. I am intrested in taking Horticulture i want to know the scope for this course.
Importance of Horticulture:
The importance of horticulture in improving the productivity of land, generating employment, improving economic conditions of the farmers and entrepreneurs, enhancing
exports and, above all, providing nutritional security to the people, is widely acknowledged.
Horticultural crops play a unique role in India's economy by improving the income of the rural people. Cultivation of these crops is labour intensive and as such they generate lot of employment opportunities for the rural population.
Scope:
It is estimated that India has 240 million acres of cultivable wasteland, which is lying idle, which can be brought under orchard crops without curtailing the area under food crops. The country has abundant sunshine throughout year, surplus labour and widely varied agro-climatic conditions, which offers high potential for successful and profitable commercial horticulture.
